ROOTS DESIGN COMPETITION

We are extremely delighted to announce the ROOTS Design Competition!

This exciting contest is open to all florists, designers and flower lovers across the globe!

The main objective of the contest is to submit your idea of ROOTS through creative and interpretive design and reflect this year’s AIFD^® Symposium 2022 theme ROOTS through social media platforms. This statement sums up the elements of ROOTS.

“When seed takes ROOT, the growth begins… To ensure a plant

grows to its full potential, it requires special care, nourishment and

attention. ROOTS best represents the spirit of the solid foundation

that our floral education is built on. The induction of AIFD’s newest

members, celebrates the future and we recognize the exceptional

growth of design talents and celebrate them; BLOOM!

At ROOTS, we are honoring our EDUCATORS from the past and present.

Our 2022 esteemed roster of presenters and educators have taken

on the commitment to TEACH. They will inspire and enlighten

by sharing their most valuable lessons; inspiring floral design

ideas with an innovative method of teaching. Through passion,

imagination, and incorporating new technology, healthy ROOTS

will continue to thrive to GROW the future of floristry.”

The Top 3 Designs with most likes and shares will win the ROOTS Design Competition.

1 PLACE – Will receive:

A Complementary General Registration ( $749 Non AIFD/$679 AIFD member value– if you have already registered you will be reimbursed)

Details for participation:

To enter you will have to post a picture (max. 3 pictures ) of your design on a social media platform FACEBOOK/ INSTAGRAM and use the following 3 hashtags from: #roots2022 #growingforwardtogether #rootandgrowwithaifd
Quick description of design idea and list of materials, mechanics and products used in the design.
There is no size limit.
The winning designer will exhibit (product will be available once on sight, a replication of the original is not required) at the Radicle Gallery during 2022 AIFD^® Symposium in Las Vegas…
Design must have min of 80 % of fresh materials
You will have one week starting April 18th through April 25th to create and post your design on social media platform. The deadline for submission is April 25.
The top 3 designs with most likes will be announced by Hitomi Gilliam AIFD and Ann Jordan AIFD on May 1^st via Facebook and Instagram.
