THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY HOSTS A.I.R. PROGRAM “Armatures and Event Work” With Frank Feysa AIFD, CFD

WOOSTER, OH  Students at The Ohio State University kicked off a busy spring season with an inspiring Artist-in-Residence program presented by Frank Feysa AIFD, CFD, of Aurora, Ohio.  During the workshop, Frank led students in making large natural armatures from gathered twigs and branches.  Students made several on their own and then contributed to a team assemblage of the many complex and contorted sculptures into a single artistic unit hung from the roof of a decorative outdoor pergola situated among the early spring blossoms of the campus learning gardens.  Added fresh flowers and dried grasses in shades of copper, cream and lime green created a romantic event venue set off by the day’s fortunate sunshine and blue sky.

The afternoon session involved step-by-step instruction in the spiral method of hand-tied bouquet making.  After demonstration and instruction by Frank, students selected inspired collections of garden and specialty flowers to arrange their own free-spirited creations.
