On Christmas day of 2019, Society of Chinese members of AIFD spent a joyful and warm holiday with our members in Shanghai. The mission of the Society of Chinese members of AIFD is to provide our talented Chinese floral designers with an international perspective and one of the best ways to celebrate the Christmas festival is to share and learn, because art has no boundaries.
Dr. Solomon Leong AIFD, CFD gave a wonderful floral demonstration at the party, providing a detailed elaboration of idea generation, floral selection, color, & layout in design. He also shared the latest global floral trends he gathered from his floral journey all over the world this year with the audience.
Up-and-coming violinist Homda Chan was invited to perform at this floral Christmas party and 11 CFD participants participated in a floral competition. They all perfectly expressed their blessings for Christmas and new year in their floral works. Various awards including best design, color and creativity are presented and in fact, everyone is no. 1 as each piece has its own unique design concept and style.
Dr. Solomon Leong shared the quote from Jerzy Kosinski, “The principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke”. AIFD, as the highest floral design standard in the global floral art world, leads everyone to continuously learn and to reach for new heights.
