2025 Sylvia Cup Recipient Judy Janzen AIFD is the 2024 S.H.I.N.E. Scholar who studied product development with AIFD Award of Design Influence Recipient Charlie Groppetti AIFD of Porch View Home.
2025 Texas Designer of the Year Rebecca Sullivan AIFD is the most recent S.H.I.N.E. Scholar who will study retail floristry and event planning with Chris Norwood AIFD of Norwood-Day in Little Rock!
Former recipients include industry leaders AIFD President Renee Tucci AIFD and AIFD Foundation Trustee Marisa Guerrero who will serve Texas State Florists’ Association as President in 2025-2026.
Mentorships with Groppetti and Norwood continue to be offered in 2026 along with ”The Life of a Flower from the Earth to the Market” with Paul Miller AIFD and Sunshine Bouquet Company where you will travel, from Miami to Bogota, Colombia, to visit laboratories, farms, and greenhouses to design a project, hands-on. Upon returning to Miami to visit stores, where the bouquets are sold, to experience production stateside and the shipment process throughout North America!

A LIFETIME OF LEARNING SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY THE BUSINESS OF FLOWERS
This Scholarship provides opportunities to professional floral designers who are interested in floral design and also in the business of flowers. Add to Your “Lifetime of Learning” in a variety of ways made available through statewide, regional and national organizations and institutions.
A LIFETIME OF LEARNING SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND AIFD® SYMPOSIUM 2026 IN ORLANDO
This scholarship will add to your Lifetime of Learning with an AIFD® Symposium Registration to attend the 2026 AIFD® Symposium in Orlando, with no restriction regarding first time attendance. For those designers who plan to enroll in PFDE in 2026, this opportunity may provide funds for partial enrollment in PFDE®.
AIFD FOUNDATION SYMPOSIUM SCHOLARSHIP
If you have never attended AIFD® Symposium, this scholarship is for you!
If you know of a floral designer who has never attended AIFD® Symposium, here an opportunity for you to make a difference by simply sharing this information!
This scholarship awards up to $2,500 to provide an AIFD® Registration as well as optional registrations for Hands-on Workshops, Master Classes and World- class Experiences. The balance may be applied to approved travel expenses!
CERTIFIED FLORAL DESIGNER SCHOLARSHIP
If you are a Certified Floral Designer with current dues paid and looking to prepare for PFDE® in Orlando, the CFD Scholarship provides up to $1,000 for approved travel expenses to attend a Preparatory Class. The AIFD® Education Partners, noted on the application, fund class registration to further enhance this opportunity.
NORTH WEST CHAPTER CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
An AIFD® Symposium General Registration, with no restriction regarding first time attendance, is offered to an instructor/teacher who resides in the North West Chapter and is affiliated with an AIFD® Education Partner or one of several affiliated educational institutions. The Scholarship is equally offered to a student of floral design who meets the qualifications outlined in the application process.
AIFD FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND THE BENZ SCHOOL OF FLORAL DESIGN
The purpose of this scholarship is to support those, in need of financial assistance, with Registration Fees to attend classes at the Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M University or the Benz School of Floral Design in Korea.
TWO ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR AIFD MEMBERS TO MENTOR STUDENTS OF FLORAL DESIGN
AIFD Foundation Student Scholarship
A full-time or part-time student, enrolled in junior college, college or university pursuing retail floriculture with emphasis on floral design is eligible.
AIFD Foundation Scholarship for University of Missouri Students
This scholarship provides three different opportunities for University of Missouri students who are currently enrolled in one of the noted degree or certification plans offered at the university. These opportunities include funding to assist with tuition and certification fees, a mentorship outside of the university and registration to attend AIFD Symposium in 2026. In the event that a University of Missouri graduate receives a scholarship while attending the University as a part-time or full-time student, the scholarship may be used within the designated time period.
