Blooms Over Palm Springs is planning for another successful project
We can all agree that flowers bring people joy. Sharing that message with as many people as possible is at the core of why the Blooms Over project exists. During the Reflection Symposium, AIFD® will once again utilize excess flower products from the Symposium to spread cheer throughout the Palm Springs community through the Blooms Over project.
Since 1993, Blooms Over has been devoted to giving our event flowers a second life while brightening the day of people in need in the communities where we host Symposiums. This project has had an unforgettable impact.
The Blooms Over project relies on Symposium attendees to give a small amount of time between the many planned activities to help create bouquets distributed throughout the community in partnership with local groups and organizations. Everyone, from presenters, committee members, first-time attendees, students, and sponsors, can participate in creating bouquets. We invite everyone attending the Reflection Symposium to recruit friends and join the Marketing Committee in creating bouquets that will impact the lives of so many others.
During the Emerge Symposium in Orlando, 1,700 bouquets were created and donated to the Veterans Affairs Centers, senior citizens’ homes, and the Ronald McDonald House in the Orlando area.
The Blooms Over project is always a fun experience where friends gather, and new acquaintances are made. The Marketing Committee is planning several fun activities for those who take part, including special prizes for participation. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
