It has been an exciting few months run up to the Jubilee Celebrations of our wonderful Queen, with the main celebratory weekend taking place over the 2nd-5th of June. The streets of London are ladened with Union Jack Flags, and the front of Buckingham Place was transformed into a multistage arena for the many parades and concerts to come over the commemorative weekend.

We are extremely excited to have Bruno Duarte participate in this year’s 2022 Las Vegas “ROOTS” Symposium 2022 as one of our presenters. Bruno is a very accomplished designer who will be showcasing his work alongside the other incredible lineup of presenters.
The RADICLE, aka ‘The RAD’ at ROOTS Symposium is our Gallery. This exhibition space will be used to fully curate the select premier floral art created by our ROOTS artists. It will be a beautiful community space, located in the adjoining area next to the Symposium Center Stage Ballroom for everyone to meet up and enjoy the art together before, in between, and after the stage programs everyday.
As a member of the floral family and AIFD, most of us, it is often said, will always be flora focused but I think most of us will also agree that there will come a point in time where we are compelled to reassess our goals, and the different things that define us begin to change.

As AIFD accredited designers we are socially often proudly introduced by our friends and family by what we do professionally. This is a rather American culture as it is presumed people have an interest in what we do for a living. For instance, when asked, I tell people I am a designer or “in the floral industry”, and most of the time the response is, “where is your flower shop?”. Often there is more to it than a traditional retail operation alone.
