It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s AIFD® National Symposium, “Vision,” in Chicago.
We are excited for designers from around the world to join us as we explore AIFD® Symposium 2020 Vision for Artistic Floristry. We have assembled a diverse collection of floral designers to share their passion in advancing the art and business of floral design.
When I was asked to chair the Symposium it was both a scary and exciting thought. On one hand it would be the biggest challenge of my life and the other it was the opportunity to take my favorite things about an AIFD Symposium and bring them all together to inspire designers from across the globe.
AIFD and the 2019/2020 Career Development Team are grateful to AFE (The American Floral Endowment Fund) who has granted the Intuition, Imagination and Illusion – Vision 2020 through Education Focus on the Future – Bringing FFA to the AIFD Symposium project with a significant contribution for the 2020 FFA symposium workshop scholarships.

Jackie Lacey AIFD, CFD of the Floriology Institute in Jacksonville, FL was installed as President of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD®) during the organization’s 2019 National Symposium held in Las Vegas, NV, July 6 – 11. He succeeds Frank Feysa AIFD, CFD of Garden Gate in Aurora, Ohio as the volunteer leader of the floral industry’s leading organization in design education.
