The Just Make it Pretty contest is back for its second year! The AIFD Foundation was thrilled with the participation during 2020, and look to 2021 with great anticipation. We invite all floral designers and floral enthusiasts to compete and experience this year’s theme, “Roots of Inspiration.” We find this theme to be of great interest and see within it, countless opportunity!
“Just Make It Pretty” is centered around a statement that the legendary Joe Smith AIFD said to Matt Wood AIFD years ago when Matt was defining his style of design. The Entry Period begins September 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. EST, and ends September 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EST. During that time, contribute the noted minimum donation to the Matt Wood AIFD Fund and submit one photograph of a single design, using the link provided to you by the AIFD Foundation upon receipt of your contribution. You will use this link to provide contact information and submit your single photograph.

Once the Matt Wood AIFD Fund reaches endowment, scholarships will be awarded to floral designers to S.H.I.N.E. Each recipient experiences continued education through a mentorship in a specialized floral industry concentration. This shared expertise offers a rare opportunity to learn from the absolute best in the floral industry.
Our first intern, Marcela Lopez-Vallejo AIFD, just completed a week of study with Charlie Groppetti AIFD, Todd Smith, and the incredible staff at Porch View Home. Once this fund is endowed, more opportunities will follow!
