The Doral Art & Flowers Festival was organized by the YOLA GUZ AIFD School of Floral Design and held December 7-17 in The City of Doral. The event touted support from city Mayor Christi Fraga and many sponsors, including the Miami Beach Convention Bureau, Accent Decor, Smither Oasis, and many generous Floral Importing Companies from Miami.
During this three-day event we shared with the City of Miami and specifically the City of Doral a cultural and educational event that creates flower awareness and shows the artistry that can be created with flowers. Our floral artists and upcoming local high school art students were able to demonstrate and exhibit their floral art at a significant level of excellence in a cultural environment that took place at the Doral Cultural Arts Center.
The event included floral design inspired workshops for children and seniors as well as workshops for professionals.
It is important to mention that we were able to capture the attention of many community members and the attendance surpassed our expectations.
It is not a coincidence that the Doral Cultural Center is in the heart of Doral’s “City of Flowers”. A City that hosts the largest hub of Flower importation in the Country.
We are making progress with events like this and with your support many floral related events will be taking place in the future. Our vision is to create a winter destination where you can appreciate floral art in December just like when you go to the Philadelphia Flower Show in March. The City of Doral will shine on the US map as the “City of Flowers!”
