Floral Event in Hong Kong during Pandemic

Ven Lam 是一位擁有超過 6 年經驗的香港花藝設計師。 Ven 擁有花藝專業資格，她是美國花卉設計師協會的認可會員，並於 2018 年在美國獲得認可。她還順利完成了由比利時皇家花卉協會和比利時商會支持的EMC教育計劃在2019年期通過考試。最近，她更獲得了認證花卉評估師/裁判官的稱號。

VEN 是香港花會會員，在2019 年很高興能代表香港花會參加香港花卉展覽，更為花會獲得最具特色優異獎。但因為COVID-19 疫情嚴重，所以全世界很多花藝活動也要停辦，幸好，香港花會不遺餘力堅持持續為會員舉辦每月一次的花藝活動。例如：在2021年6月舉辦了”雲上花藝秀2021 – 夢想”，㝢意大家在這段艱難時刻都要有夢想，有期待和期望，最後還將所有參展作品印製成香港花會首次發行的 2022年月曆。

最近，香港花會也舉辦了網上花藝設計比賽 – “對母親的愛”，主題為康乃馨來歌頌母親的偉大，亦很榮幸邀請香港花會的創辦人 Mrs Christiane Duckworth擔任評判，最終有26位會員參加，爭取多個獎項。我們也舉辦茶會來給予獎品給各得獎者。我希望疫情能夠盡快完結，好讓大家回復正常生活也可以讓大家繼續享受花的世界。

Ven Lam is a Hong Kong floral designer with over 6 years of experience. Furthermore, she is an Accredited Member of the American Institute of Floral Designers and inducted in 2018 in the United States. She has also successfully completed the EMC Educational program and passed the final examination, which is supported by the Royal Belgium Florist Association and the Chamber of Commerce of Belgium in 2019. Recently, she got her title of Certified Floral Evaluator/Judge in 2021.

As a committee member of the Hong Kong Flower Club Ven represented the Hong Kong Flower Club (HKFC) at the Hong Kong Flower Show in 2019, and won the Merit Award for Unique Feature. However, due to the severe COVID-19 epidemic, many floral activities around the world had to suspend. Fortunately, the Hong Kong Flower Club has spared no effort to continue to hold a monthly floral activity for its members. For example: In June 2021, the HKFC held the “Virtual Floral Art Show 2021 – Aspiration”. It is intended that everyone must have dreams and expectations during this difficult time. Finally, all the photos of the art show are compiled into the first issue of the 2022 Calendar.

Recently, the Hong Kong Flower club held an online flower design competition – “with Love to Mother”, with the theme of carnations to celebrate the greatness of mothers. It is also an honour to invite Mrs. Christiane Duckworth, the founder of the Hong Kong Flower Club, to be the judge. In the end, 26 members participated in the event and strived for the awards. All the winners will be awarded at the tea party which was held by the Hong Kong Flower Club at the end of June.

I hope that the epidemic will end as soon as possible so that everyone can be back to normal life, and continue to enjoy the world of flowers.
