We had lots of flower family fun on the farm during the June 13th virtually live “What is AIFD?” Q&A session and design demo.
We were able to welcome national President Janet Black AIFD to the magical farm of Jon Robert Throne AIFD, located in Kent WA. Farm, Fare, and Floral is a popular local venue for weddings and events, as well as seasonal farm bunches like the one we got to have together this weekend.
It was so fun and fabulous having folks join us virtually with questions about AIFD and our upcoming symposium, as well as design questions during the floral demonstrations. Gina Thresher AIFD showcased a romantic garden inspired armature bridal bouquet, while Jon Robert Throne AIFD dazzled us with his farm foraging skills for a few formal linear designs, and Sharrai Morgan-Faulkner AIFD taught some tips and tricks with fun foliage manipulations that are great to have in your back pocket as design mechanic knowledge tools, especially during the upcoming PFDE session this summer. Our regional flower momma, Kim Oldis AIFD, was wonderful in being onsite with us helping to host president Janet Black AIFD, as well as answering AIFD questions. On a rainy but beautiful day in the Northwest, it was good to be with flower family in person again as we helped spread AIFD awareness through our educational missions and goals.
