At the end of January, I had the opportunity to go to Tampa, FL to help promote the American Institute of Floral Designers® at the Tropical Plant International Expo. TPIE is the trade event showcasing the latest trends in foliage, floral and topicals. The show exhibit area, of 200,000 square feet showcased living and vibrant plants creating a visual indoor garden. The immense trees and unusual foliage are amazing to see. The open space was transformed into a sea of lush topicals.
“The Create Theater” provided the stage for; Eileen Cheng AIFD, Tina Coker AIFD, Alejandro Figueira Fernandes AIFD and Derek Woodruff AIFD.The designers provided helpful hints and techniques to create the upscale use of plants for elaborate celebrations, office or home applications.
