Dear AIFD Members,
I hope this message finds you well and thriving in your creative and professional endeavors.
As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening and modernizing the foundation of our organization, I am pleased to inform you that the AIFD National Board has commissioned a dedicated Task Force to review and update our Bylaws. This initiative reflects our shared goal of ensuring that our governance framework continues to align with the evolving needs of our members, supports best practices in nonprofit leadership, and positions AIFD for future growth and sustainability.
A special Task Force has been established to undertake a thorough review and update of AIFD’s Bylaws, followed by our Policies and Procedures. This effort is being conducted in close collaboration with our management team and a respected California-based law firm that specializes in nonprofit governance and compliance.
Our goal is to ensure that AIFD’s governing documents reflect current legal standards, support operational best practices, and align with the evolving needs of our membership and mission. The bylaws serve as the backbone of how we function as a professional association, and this review is both timely and necessary to strengthen our structure for the years ahead.
Once the review process is complete, the Task Force will present proposed revisions for the Board’s consideration and, ultimately, for member feedback and approval where required. We are committed to keeping the process transparent and inclusive, and we welcome your engagement and questions along the way.
On behalf of the National Board of Directors, I extend my sincere gratitude to the members of the Task Force and Management team for their commitment and service. Together, we are ensuring that AIFD continues to thrive as a professional community grounded in excellence, creativity, and leadership.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to AIFD.
With appreciation,
Laurie Lemek
