The Accent: A Celebration of Floral Art and Cultural Exchange in Macau

This Western floral art exhibition, themed “The Accent,” is jointly presented by the Society of Chinese Members of AIFD and the Macau Academy of Flower Arrangement Designers. It ingeniously incorporates Macau’s landmark elements and employs AIFD’s internationally renowned floral design techniques to showcase groundbreaking artistic works that transcend tradition.

Western floral art beautifully blends classical aesthetics with contemporary design. As a shining pearl where Eastern and Western cultures converge, Macau’s rich historical heritage and iconic architecture provide boundless inspiration for floral creations.

A total of 36 works are on display, including 17 pieces from local designers, the Greater Bay Area, and Hong Kong, along with 19 entries from participants.

This floral exhibition, “The Accent,” aims to promote floral techniques and cultural exchange in the Greater Bay Area, encouraging mutual learning and fostering friendships among the three regions.

The competition theme is based on Macau’s landmark architecture, combined with floral art to enhance the exhibition’s appeal while showcasing the blend of Eastern and Western architectural styles in Macau. This provides audiences and tourists with a diverse travel experience in our city. The AIFD international floral design standard will be applied for judging the competition.
